THE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
The founder of the MTW Group, Mr. Wolfgang Haag, passed away in 2022. Even during his lifetime, he made forward-looking decisions for the future — both in the service of medical research and for the benefit of his employees. Upon his passing, the MTW Foundation — Help for People was established. The primary purpose of this nonprofit foundation is to promote science and research in the medical field.
This goal is achieved in particular through:
• funding and conducting medical research projects,
• awarding research grants,
• supporting the publication of scientific findings,
• promoting education and continuing professional development,
• awarding scholarships, and
• recognizing outstanding achievements by renowned experts and promising young talents in the scientific and technical fields.
In addition, within the scope of its statutory purpose, the foundation may also independently carry out its own projects, initiatives, and events.

THE FAMILY FOUNDATION
In addition to this nonprofit foundation, Mr. Haag established another organization during his lifetime: the Wolfgang Haag Foundation, a so-called family foundation. Its purpose is to support and promote the employees of the MTW Endoscopy Group. This is based on a clearly defined Memorandum of Understanding that governs the conditions and objectives of the support.
By establishing these two foundations, Wolfgang Haag succeeded in creating a lasting legacy — for the benefit of the workforce and for the sustainable advancement of medical research.
Since 2022, both foundations have been managed in accordance with his vision and have since played a key role in shaping the further development of the MTW Endoscopy Group.
